Susann began her design career in the late 70’s, with a passion for color, texture, and furnishings, she began with a few sample books and a vision. With creativity, tenacity and hard work her business grew from a one room reclaimed wood frame cottage to a multi employee operation creating solutions for some of the largest builders of the time. Pulte, Ryland, David Weekley, US Home, Weyerhauser, and Monarch to name but a few. With a firm grasp of marketing and merchandising real estate, the eye for detail has made the difference. Susann forged a success story in some challenging times. She became the National Marketing Director for the Haseko Corp., a Japanese development firm from Tokyo making a mark on Northern California in the San Francisco bay area. She held that position from 1989 to 1994. Susann has successfully restored more that 12 properties on the Texas and National Historic Registry of homes, challenging but rewarding, it is her most passionate pursuit to bring these old ladies back to their original glory. This pursuit not only takes talent in design but an understanding of construction also. Today, she brings a wealth of experience, world travel, sourcing, design vision, and the common personal touch to interpret and inspire clients both in the residential and commercial arena in the always passionate pursuit of amazing design. In her travels around the world she spends several weeks a year searching and importing treasures mostly from France. Today at Transformations, Susann focuses on historical properties with the the occasional custom project from time to time. Her deep experience can guide the most discerning client from concept to full realization offering invaluable insights from drawing to move in.
